Principal Message

Welcome to the 2026–2027 school year!

As we prepare to return to a new school year, I want to take a moment to reflect. The successes, joys, and challenges we have experienced together at Liberty continue to remind me how special this school community really is. Your ongoing support, kindness, and resilience are what make Liberty a truly exceptional place to learn and to grow.

I am honored to begin my 15th year at Liberty and my 11th year as principal. I am privileged to continue serving this extraordinary community and work alongside such a dedicated staff, inspiring students, and supportive families.

I hope your summer has been filled with rest, connection, and relaxing times with family and friends. As we step into this new school year, we bring with us the growth of the past and the promise of what lies ahead. The Liberty staff has spent the summer recharging and preparing for the year and are ready to meet every challenge and celebrate every success with your students.

Whether this is your first year of middle school, you are new to our community, or if Liberty continues to be your home, we are excited to welcome you. This year will again bring change, opportunity, and growth and we’ll navigate it all together as one strong, united community.

We remain grounded the Cherry Creek School District vision of a Pathway of Purpose and are guided by the central mission to inspire every student to think, to learn, to achieve, to care. These values guide everything we do as we work to create a learning environment where every Liberty student feels seen, supported, and empowered to thrive.

I deeply value the trust you place in Liberty and in our school district. It’s a trust I do not take for granted. I know that each of you brings hopes, expectations, and sometimes a little nervousness to the start of a new year. Please know that we’re here to support not only your students, but you too as partners in this work.

Our goal remains clear, to stay focused on your child’s success every day. To achieve this, we must continue to collaborate, communicate, and show empathy for one another.  Together, we can ensure that Liberty is a place where every student feels valued, connected, and inspired to succeed.
